More filters. Sort order. My third book by Ms. Carr, I liked it the most. Lauren was an okay h, she was a supermom, and the Jill Of All Trades when it comes to hair styling and the business. There were some frustrating scenes starring Lauren but thankfully they weren't dragged. Paula was an amazing heroine. Although loaded with inner monologues, the hs had plenty of page time with great conversations, flirts banters and sexy times. Drama llama popped up a few times, acceptable..

If she wasn't throwing a tantrum like a child every other page then she was lying to try and impress the woman she was falling in love with or being extremely selfish. The only good thing in the book was how the author portrayed what living with anxiety is like and how it really affects a persons way of life.
Good read! A great book that's not all about coming out. The characters in this book are already out, living their lives! A very funny book with serious moments as well! I found myself thinking about what was happening and what might happen while I was at work and couldn't read! Highly recommended! Nov 10, Lara Estes rated it it was amazing. A story about one women facing her fears, finding true love and old friendships. I laughed, I fell in love and I cried. But this romance did something i wasn't really looking for. I started to look at my own fears and what I had mssed out on in my life.
A great read that you will love and reread. Jul 13, Jedi Sheriff rated it it was amazing. Loved this book, totally took me by suprise as I have to be honest, I'm a bit of a fan of the more 'butch' protagonist. However, I totally fell in love with these characters. Having insecurities myself made me really appreciate certain angles within this book.
Great story , great writer Oct 21, Trish rated it it was amazing. I read this book because a friend of mine said that it was one of the best love stories she had read in a long time. I couldn't agree more. Carr absolutely nailed it again. I love her three books. Definitely a great story with a universal message!!
Nice story I can't imagine having panic or anxiety attacks so this was an interesting read for me to see another perspective. May 08, Lesbian Reader rated it it was amazing. Great book. Laugh out loud funny in parts with very endearing characters. Aug 09, Britni rated it did not like it.
It made no sense. You fall in love at a snap, okay But break up because she's terrified of flying?? Oh, and THEN she's magically over this intense phobia just like that. Absolutely unbelievable and not enjoying to read. I mean seriously this woman's issues were covered the gambit of babble!
Whoo wee! Feb 15, Carly rated it it was amazing Shelves: favourite. I absolutely love this book, re-reading it for the second time to discover I'd not reviewed it.
The main character Lauren really made me laugh, even with little things such as closing down her son's game on the computer to reply to Paula's email tickled me. Yes I think Lauren can be a big whiney at times but I found her to learn and develop from this also, after all don't we initially have a little whine to ourselves before getting a grip on reality. I could feel the attraction between Lauren an I absolutely love this book, re-reading it for the second time to discover I'd not reviewed it. I could feel the attraction between Lauren and Paula bubbling off the page and I loved the close relationship Lauren had with her son Owen.
Highly recommend and I'm jealous of those of you who get to read this for the first time. Aug 06, Sarah rated it really liked it. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers.

As someone who does deal with anxiety I can honestly say that I found the character of Lauren was so totally believable, I could Two Feet Off The Ground is a well written and easily read that I would happily recommend to others. As someone who does deal with anxiety I can honestly say that I found the character of Lauren was so totally believable, I could really feel for her and found myself thinking about the book throughout the day when I wasn't actually reading it. I did struggle with Paula's character though to be honest, she seemed to show little concern for Laura's predicament at one point actually making a joke about Laura's anxiousness.
I could understand her refusing to change her plans, but to expect an anxious partner to change in such a short space of time, I guess I would have liked to see her offer Lauren more support to make this change. But even with this little niggle, I did enjoy reading this book and will look out for other books written by Suzie Carr in the future.
Aug 18, Danielle rated it really liked it Shelves: first-reads. Didnt read the detail about this book and it being about two woman in love. This book had a good ending to it though. May 15, Betzaida Martinez rated it really liked it. Amazing book.
